If you are thinking of insuring property in Bulgaria, it is important to note that, under Bulgarian law only the owner of a property stated on the Notary Act can take out Bulgaria property insurance cover. It would therefore not be possible for a developer or a property management company to hold an insurance policy as is usually the case in Western Europe. There is no law that forces you into insuring property in Bulgaria.
